I relistened to new again the other day. It’s pretty good / fine but my least favourite of theirs for sure.
In celebration of their upcoming 8th album, here's a ranking my absolute favorite 8 releases/moments in tbs history: 1. release of New Again 2. Adam learning to scream and expand his vocal range in Cut Me Up Jenny and Holy Water 7. Releasing a Best Of album 8. My Name is Jonas
My favorite TBS songs ranked: 1. "New Again" 3:33 2. "Sink Into Me” 3:03 3. "Lonely, Lonely" 2:49 4. "Summer, Man" 3:51 5. "Swing" 3:26 6. "Where My Mouth Is" 3:52 7. "Cut Me Up Jenny" 3:52 8. "Catholic Knees" 2:48 9. "Capital M-E" 2:49 10. "Carpathia" 3:09 11. "Everything Must Go" 4:44
Adam did some production work on my band's EP back in 2018. Imagine working on your first record and the producer says "oh, Adam Lazzara's gonna hang out and shadow a bit this week." That's quite literally what happened. It was an out-of-body experience for me. I'm aware of how much more stoked I am in this photo than Adam. Feel free to AMA Edit: Please let me know if this is breaking any rules and I will be happy to remove, but my band is Never Home. We recorded the first EP at the studio where TBS recorded Tidal Wave.
Ha, I only recently joined this community despite lurking since the AP.net days. I did post it to the pop-punk subreddit at the time!
He didn't give much in the way of advice as he was there to watch and learn, but I did lay down a scratch vocal while only he and I were in the booth. He said "that sounded great, man" and that gave me the confidence to crush the rest of the vocal sessions. I'll never forget that. It was absolutely surreal to have someone who was my gateway into the genre in the room with me, as I was laying down vocals on tracks inspired by them.
