What other songs would you classify as their slow songs?

 

I mostly just meant the acoustic focused songs, or like their closers which I usually classify as slow songs in my head

 

Where My Mouth Is is kinda slow. A lot of Happiness Is is slow (It Takes More, All The Way, Nothing At All), Call Me In The Morning, etc.

 

Ranking the Acoustic Releases:
1. Your Own Disaster
2. New American Classic
3. Divine Intervention
4. Homecoming
5. Nothing At All

 

I’d put almost all of those over NAC. Although, Divine Intervention is def their worst slow song.

 

Where My Mouth Is is easily my favorite song on New Again

 

I really dug their performance of it on Alexa Chung's old show

It felt like a weird choice to push as a single off New Again, especially compared to some of the poppier songs, and I might be mistaken but didn’t they cut a verse or drop a chorus when doing media performances of it?

when New Again came out, there was a special edition with a bonus DVD and I think I remember somebody saying that song might have been even longer at one point? And I know they’d also mentioned everything must go as having gone through a lot of changes from the original demo/vision.

 

I do not feel strongly one way or another about that song.

 

I mean, if slander is saying it’s not engaging for me. Then, yes. Mwahahahha

 

I remember an interview or something where the original version was way longer, like 7 minutes or something. I’ve always wanted to hear that version

 

I can see New Again was discussed again! Neat-o! Zero percent chance I read any of y’all’s takes on that thing, which is so bizarrely polarizing for being thoroughly “fine.”

I will throw out, though, that it’s settled in as my second favorite to have in the background for vibes (after the genuinely quite good WYWTB). The highs aren’t quite as high as on some of their less consistent albums; a lot of it kinda blends together; if it were the only TBS album, I probably would like it less. But, idk, it ~*feels*~ good to have on, to me, personally!

 

WYWTB is, by a wide margin, the best TBS album.

Now let's all talk about how it's a crime that Didn't See That Coming didn't make the album and isn't on the Deluxe Edition for some insane reason

WYWTB is the better Fred album. That tis true.

 

It's just the better album with no qualifiers

 

Every song on it is perfect

except Little Devotional

 

We were on the same side for so long!

 

Little Devotional might be my favorite TBS song
