Sad Savior is easily the best track off their S/T.. However, that record is easily their weakest record so that’s not saying much.
@Jason Tate mentioned that the 20th anniversary TAYF was remastered again?? I didn’t realize this. This is different than the remastered version from a few years ago?
I looked up tickets to the Jones Beach show this summer…maybe 35-40% sold? We’re amphitheaters the move for Third Eye Blind (15k seats)?
I wonder what ever happened to The Bay Stage that was supposed to be at Jones Beach. It was supposed to be a side stage/side venue at Jones beach sort of how the Stone Pony Summer Stage is set up to do outdoor shows that drew a slightly smaller crowd. If you could have a place that could hold the number of people The Paramount holds, but have it be outside near the beach, how could that not do great?
I hate to be overly critical, but the packaging for this vinyl is hideous. Having the 10 inch be part of the cover flap is bothering me.
Happiness Is is definitely my favorite post-reunion album from them so far. As everyone said, Like You Do is easily the worst song on there. The rest of the album ranges from decent to good to great IMO. Tidal Wave was hit or miss for me. Loved Death Wolf and You Can't Look Back, All Excess and Call Come Running are fun, I enjoy We Don't Go In There...the rest I'm pretty meh on. Holy Water is okay. Title track is okay. I forget what the rest sound like off the top of my head because they never stuck with me.
To be fair that's how the majority of Jones Beach shows are. Place is typically only 35% sold until around the week of show, at which point they drop the prices a bit and tickets start to move. It's that kind of venue that people decide last minute to go and make a day out of it. Back when I lived in Queens and had a car I probably went to 30 Jones Beach shows, and it was rare that I'd spend more than $15 to get in. In fact I think the last time I went was Third Eye Blind & Jimmy Eat World in 2019. Got $15 tickets on Groupon lol
I assumed that tweet was in regards to something else but my first instinct was that it was in regards to a recent acoustic set they did for Taylor Guitars that I watched yesterday…they didn’t sound good lol
Sigh. TBS Green Day Cover TBS Smashing Pumpkins Cover TBS A Decade Under The Influence Acoustic TBS 20th Anniversary Greatest Hits Album TBS Happy Slashers theme song TBS Fuckin Whatever TBS/Wu-Tang/Q-Unique collab TBS Weezer Cover TBS/The Maine collab TBS TAYF 20th Anniversary Edition TBS/Steve Aoki collab More tours/festivals/podcasts/random things than I could possibly remember "Working on" an album Tell me you don't really want to make a new TBS album without telling me you don't really want to make a new TBS album.
No, they need to release an album even if they don't have new songs, they must put out an album for all their fans, it's only fair.
