Oh they put the demos on a separate 10" No idea why this isn't just a double LP with all the rarities of that era. Confusing release. Finally we get the remastered demos we've been asking for TRACK LISTING VINYL DEMOS (REMASTERED) - 10" C1. Great Romances Of The 20th Century (Demo) C2. The Blue Channel (Demo) C3. Bike Scene (Demo) C4. Mutual Head Club (Demo) Your Own Disaster?
everyone obsessed over the beautiful girl intro, and here I am just wanting to hear "it's falling apart, she said it starts at the seams, and now you're watching her dress" or whatever it is
Potentially opening a can of worms, but man, what I would give to have Fred and Matt back. Everything about this band was better with them in it.
it should have been something like this: disc 1: full album remixed/remastered disc 2: ballad of sal your own disaster great romances demo blue channel demo bike scene demo head club demo just like heaven cover disc 3: tayf10 acoustic
Yeah comes out to close to $50 wherever you order from. Goddamn I hate the prices of vinyl now. EDIT: Unless you order the black from Amazon, in which case it comes out to under $40.
Nah keep the media separate. Unless you meant just the audio, in which case the audio from those shows stacked with the aforementioned wish list, that's just too much.
this is along the lines of what I was expecting, and I probably would have talked myself into it. As it stands I’ll just stick to my version from like 2010 that has Sal on it.
I would really like to see them expand on the kind of sound they hit with I Feel it Too, Holy Water and Find a Way. that kinda spacious, massive, artier sound is so fucking good on them in other words TAYF album that sounds like Abendigo please
those OG lyrics were such proto Mr Brightside, I stg Flowers based his song off of them (my headcannon)
A thousand times this. I think John and Shaun are fantastic musicians, I love a lot of the Straylight material, but they simply don’t work as well in TBS as Fred or (and I know you meant Rubano but) honestly Matt Fazzi has. I do love Rubano so I would love for him to come back too. Regardless, the band’s best material are WYWTB, LN, and NA. It’s been mostly downhill ever since.
The last album I fully loved was Louder Now. I was big on New Again when it came out, despite the bizarre reception it got, and still love half of it. Since the reunion, only a couple songs from the follow ups hit me. I don't know what I want from this band anymore, especially after such a long gap. I also assume what I'd love to hear is very different than where their heads musically are at right now. I doubt any dreamed line up changes would drastically change their trajectory, and I'm at peace with that.
