My guess is if there wasn't a pandemic it would have been released late 2020. They had just started recording like, a week before everything shut down. They said prior to that, they weren't going to write/record while they celebrated their 20th anniversary, which they spent all 2019 doing. The pandemic pushed their timeline back a ton. And when things started opening up again, it was probably more beneficial for them to play some shows again rather than write/record because they went nearly 2 years without income.
the cover made me dive in to Happiness Is for first time in a while and can gladly say this record still kills.
The article on Consequence made it seem like they were just doing this for Photo Finish’s 15th anniversary but that doesn’t make much sense to me. TBS’ booking agent is the founder of Photo Finish so maybe he asked the band if they could contribute something for the whole 15 year thing? Still though, seems like Hopeless would have released this if they were still working with that label. Who knows.
TBS would never in a million years play with him again, but yeah, he's my favorite guitarist and vocalist they've had
Fred was my fav fit for the band overall, but Fazzi’s had the best output outside the band imo bar none, and I think is probably (from a technical standpoint at least) the best musician the band ever employed.
I always wished for Fazzi and Matt to form a band together. Knowing their musical backgrounds, I feel like they could make so much greatness.
i cant believe that. mulcahys is like maybe 1500 ppl max capacity. maybe i can sell my christmas show tickets and avoid driving to jersey and just go see this.
feel like a few one off shows is fine but a whole tour where john and shaun are playing 2 full sets a night is probably, a lot to ask.
