I can get mark not liking Fred for whatever went down with the LN and money and etc. But if he’d be mad at Adam just for doing a video that would be dumb. If you don’t have to record another album with him then who cares haha. Someone pointed out at some point that the 180 by summer riff is actually just the Ghost Man intro notes played as a chord, so I feel like one of those songs is definitely an accident while playing around with the other lol. I think Eddie said he had that riff for a long time, like pre-TBs
I vaguely remember the AP interview, but can anyone else recall the main issues that the now current members took up with Fred & Matt?
From Mark in this interview https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mc...mc-taking-back-sunday-20111222-story,amp.html
“You should thank God every single day that you're not still playing in front of eight people.” Hell of a quote. Mark during the s/t era really was fired up all the time.
So weird to read that about Fazzi too. I met him twice after a couple shows and he legit may have been the nicest musician I’ve met. Seemed super chill and easy to talk too
I bet it was mark’s idea to do that all inclusive Jamaica thing that they ended up cancelling and saying something even better was going to happen. So, instead they go on a 20 year tour and play TAYF every night again. Which I actually went to and had a good time at bc i got to watch them play WYWTB.
i just ran to my guitar to try it and holy shit lol i've been playing ghost differently for so long hah
I really like this new Fred song. The riff at the minute mark is so sick. Is there enough interest in just making a Color Fred thread, or just keep it within the TBS talk?
I watched the Fred / Matt / Eddie doc. Fred came off a little "I did so much of this" in a way, which to me was a little off-putting. I definitely hear his influence and what not and agree with most of what a lot of you are saying, but he needed this band to create this album, Adam specifically. It's not like anything he wrote after leaving has been anywhere even close to what TBS did with him in the band.
to each their own. i like some of the music Fred has put out for sure. i just don't think it touches what Louder Now was.
