Must have seen the lack of, or generally skeptical, reaction to this. I can't think of a band that means enough for me to plan a vacation around them, but if I could, they'd have to be bigger than TBS.
I mean, if I had money to spend like that, and didn't have a job.... then yeah, i'd do parahoy, and taking back sunday-ahoy, and all the festivals in the US, I could go on and on....
Not a problem with it,but yeah, their fanbase, especially those of the happiness / tidal wave era, don't have money to jump on this.
Speaking of, I've attended the Hanson event at the resort this one is happening at and it's a super chill, awesome vacation. Not 800-1000 people, more like 400. Don't know how this one would be but I will admit, I kind of side-eyed the idea a little when Hanson first announced it and it's really one of the best things I've ever spent money on.
Louder Now is supposed to be delivered on vinyl on Friday. Been waiting a long time to own that record. Hopefully it doesn't get pushed back.
They're also doing Sound on Sound festival in Texas and they stick out on the lineup. Cool to see them trying to stretch out and play to a different audience this late in their career.
Not announced yet but they're playing a secret show two blocks from my house tonight at a tiny bar. Oh hell yes.
Nope, not that one, but is Long Island. I saw them do a secret show at Vibe Lounge in RVC (where I'm from) after New Again came out. Was sick.
Still listening to Tidal Wave regularly. I haven't been this into a TBS album since Louder Now. I hope they keep expanding on the Tidal Wave direction. It really works for them.
So go figure that I knew about the show hours before it was announced but wasn't able to get tickets. Was at work and couldn't get to the bar in time, oh well. Stood outside for a few songs at the beginning and end and heard "What's It Feel Like to Be a Ghost?" and "MakeDamnSure." They played for an hour. Heard it was hot and sweaty inside considering how small The Inn is (capacity around 350). My friend told me that Adam barely sang and let the Long Island kids take care of all the singing.
Can confirm eddie was not at the great south bay show last night either. The backup stage guitarist had a much more active role vocally as well. Interesting.
Ah came here to ask about Eddie as well. My buddy went to the NYC shows this weekend and said Eddie wasn't at them.
