I think Best places and falling are the only two good/great songs on s/t. Faith is fine but not overly exciting.
the guitar work at the end of EMG is so good. i'm glad they started letting loose again on Tidal Wave in that regard
I had forgotten how great of a song "How I Met Your Mother" is. Big fan of the "We shook, we spoke, like it had never been done" part. Also, when those snares start hitting on the quarter notes at the end, that's some great high energy stuff.
Been jamming Louder Now today. Not a single bad song on it (even Miami which gets a lot of stick). Reminds me of discovering this band in the summer when I was 13.
"call me in the morning", "sad savior", and "it doesn't feel a thing like falling" should always be played live.
i guess we'll never know, but i hope it's actually a new song and not just a TW b-side. even though they have some strong b-sides, i'd love an actual new song.
I'm pretty sure it's totally new. Someone asked them on Twitter if there would be a Tidal Wave Complete Recordings release, and they replied that the album itself already was the complete recordings with no b-sides in existence.
I posted about it a week or so ago. It's a song for the ACLU compilation that John Nolan is organizing (3-31-17).
is it full band or something just Adam and John recorded? the acoustic recordings they do on their own aren't usually the best..
