‘Hey all, I know we’re not big on nostalgia but we just can’t pass up the opportunity to celebrate 20 years since TAYF was released. We know this album means a lot to you all so we’re going to do a brief three year world tour to celebrate.’ - TBS IN 2022
As someone whose been listening since tell all your friends I still find those songs really special to head.. also the band needs to make a living and I hate to say it but the first 3 records is their bread and butter.
It doesn’t seem like anyone’s at a loss to understand why the band is still doing TAYF shows. It’s just tiring to see they are still doing it, especially two consecutive nights in the same place.
I’ll be at both screaming my lungs out! But yea I understand why it’s annoying when they could maybe throw in a greatest hits set or something
I fully understand them milking TAYF but what baffles me is that that’s the album the fans want milked. Album is not that good, especially cute without the e. Song’s in the bottom half of their discog.
Audrey you are making me angry! Lol. Tell all your friends is a classic I also realize this isn’t really a popular take here Basically TAYF encompasses 2 years of high school memories for me, hard to imagine my life without that record.
TAYF is still their best album and WYWTB doesn't really hold up that well. TAYF > LN > Happiness > s/t > Tidal > WYWTB > NA
Likes: people showing love to Happiness and Tidal Wave Dislikes: TAYF hate and New Again love having a constant spot in the thread rotation
I had to deal with New Again only getting shit on for like, seven years, so I’m here to embrace all the love it gets in this thread.
Yep. It was literally like going to different shows during the Happiness Tour when they played songs from the first 3 albums vs the second 3. Based on crowd reaction, you would have thought there were entirely different bands.
New Again to me is their weakest album but it’s still really good imo. It’s like saying you like the new style 100 dollar bill better than the old style 100 dollar bill. At the end of the day it’s still a 100 dollar bill.
