Seeing TAYF/LN performed live this past Saturday unlocked a lifelong achievement, and it ruled. Crowd was really into it all, and it made for a true experience.
LN would be perfect if “Up Against” was taken off the album, and “Brooklyn” and “Sleep” replaced it. Def. going to revisit this album.
Count me in on this thinking. Adam mentioned both songs of course, and for a brief moment, I was like here we go, alternate reality time where we all pretend they were on the album, so here it is world. But no such luck.
listening to the album again. I forgot how good this was because I'd only listen to makedamnsure. haha
It would slap live I'm sure but I absolutely hate the album version, and the alternatives are two of my all time top TBS songs as well
Totally get where you’re coming from. Though they’re auto-tuned as fuck, I recommend checking out the Live from Long Beach and Live From Bamboozle versions of that song.
one hundred. best bridge and final chorus in their whole discog and the lyrics are fantastic I will do!
I don't know if we're putting Fred's stuff here but this episode of his new youtube series was awesome. He breaks out a super old hard-disk recorder and at 27:40 it starts playing a demo of "This Photograph Is Proof" he doesn't play much of it but it's pretty cool to know that was on there (and probably just something he wrote solo I think and brought to the band). Also Demo of Liar with Fred singing at 30:50 Demo of My Blue Heaven at 42:00
“You see this guitar tone here? It’s different than the last one. Do you know why? Because guitar tones are like people, we are all very unique yet similar to eachother. I think that’s a mighty fine thing don’t you Neighbor?”
Thats so disappointing to hear. I woulda walked out if i saw that phony shit at a show from any established band. Like this isnt Dragonforce were talking about. Take an afternoon and learn that damn solo!! I learned it when i was 15 and i sucked at guitar then. Kicking out fazzi and rubano was deff (and still is) a massive step backwards for the band. I miss fred being in the mix too, dude was such a huge musical inspiration for me as a kid.
That My Blue Heaven demo is so cool even though it's barely anything haha. I'm glad he says it's his favourite TBS song as it's mine too. I miss that TBS era. Fred always brought the right blend of poppy-ness and aggression.
Hands down one of the best shows I’ve ever been too. Everyone was on point. Adam was straining a little near the end, but then again, all of us in the crowd were too. Can’t wait for tomorrow.
