What Fall Out Boy song? I've heard of Patron Saint of Liars and Fakes sounding like Cute Without the E, but nothing about #5 With a Bullet
they mentioned the artists' picks 10" which i didn't even know existed. i'm thrilled that shaun picked "it takes more" and confirmed what i suspected for a while, that it's a whole-cloth john nolan jam
I didn't expect any of these choices. Really cool they all seem to pick more recent songs and not the ones you'd expect.
Where are you seeing these write-ups about their picks? Also “It Takes More” is a massively underrated song.
Revisiting Live From Orensanz right now. Man, those versions of Makedamnsure, Decade, Your Own Disaster, Set Phasers and Carpathia are special.
The first time I listened to HI, I remember Shaun’s overdriven bass part in the first verse catching me a bit off guard (in a good way) and thinking “wow, okay this is cool”, then when that final chorus dropped it immediately became one of my top 10 favorite songs by them.
I also revisited this over the weekend, I forgot how good it was! I’m not holding my breath, but I would love a vinyl press of this at some point
IMO, All The Way and Fences are definitely their best reunion era songs. That's the experimental direction I feel like they should continue to explore, they do it well. When I first heard the bass on All the Way, I remember thinking it reminded me of Weatherbox.
Hahahah nice! Glad to see that they look like they’re having a lot of fun on this tour Also, hopefully stuff like this is making them see how fun it could be to have Little Devotional in their sets going forward
