I do kind of wish only one night was TAYF, but I'm fine with both nights. It's probably the biggest draw, so I get why they're doing it that way.
If this were the first tour they played TAYF front-to-back, I might find seeing it two nights in a row a kind of fun idea. Now, though, it hardly seems like a selling point, especially to longtime fans.
Honestly if they were going to come to Cleveland, but only do one night and it'd be TAYF and 'the hits' I wouldn't even go. I have zero desire to see them perform TAYF in full again. It was cool for the 10-year but at this point, it's getting to be a bit much. If they were doing back to back shows in Cleveland, I'd go no doubt to hear WYWTB and LN but I'd seriously consider showing up late to the second night. It's one thing to see TAYF full again, but completely ridiculous to watch it two nights in a row.
I'll definitely be going to at least one of the Boston dates (Saturday so the gf can join) but I really wish it was WYWTB and LN both nights or something. I have no desire to hear TAYF in full again after TAYF10 happened, especially two nights in a row of it.
On the drive home listening to New Again got me thinking how cool it would be to hear them dust off Catholic Knees or Summer Man sometime
I think they did Catholic Knees when I saw them in 2013 but haven’t again since that tour. I always want more New Again songs in the set.
I think John said that EMG was his favorite song the band wrote while has wasn’t in it. I love when they perform it with him.
