my assumption would be that eddie had little to no part in new material writing if he truly was off focusing and working on bettering himself. i don't think we see a new album this year. my guess is summer 2020, with recording happening in winter 2019/20 after the 20tour wraps.

 

this 20 year tour is going to be long.

i'd guess it's at least a year before a new album. the first leg of the tour is scheduled all the way through june of 2019

 

Wouldn't be surprised if they finish it before Leg 2 (assuming they take a month or two off between legs) and then release it early 2020.

 

I recall something about Adam having something to do with it?

 

That would be cool, i'd be into seeing how a self-produced album by them would go.

 

Listening to New Again this morning. I still like this album a lot.

 

The summer is over and I doubt I'll be seeing you aarrrouunnndddd.

 

It's been a while since I revisited New Again. Might have to change that today.

 

There's a New Again EP that I would love the shit out of. Wish I could say the same about the full album

 

I tweeted at the band about how good the kick drum sounds on “All Ready To Go” and they tweeted back saying that they all had a hand in producing it, Adam engineered it and he and this guy Mike Pepe mixed/mastered it.

Or at least I think that’s what was said. I can’t remember and I deactivated my twitter so I can’t go back and check it.

Nice! Yeah after his work with them on Tidal Wave, i was happy to see him back in the mix.

 

I think that’s become my favorite song on the album after revisiting. Carpathia still rips too.

 

Musically I love New Again but HATE the lyrics but the other 5 is exactly what mine would be

It's insane to think New Again is almost 10 years old this year.

 

I like swing but I had to make room for DSTC

 

Swing is the best song out of the NA era, better than EMG and any of the B-Sides

Swing is far and away the best song on New Again and it's not even close. Honestly one of the better songs in their entire catalog tbh
