so freaking good. they killed it, all the old songs sound great, its gonna be a really fun tour to see especially if your city gets two nights and you can swing both. Adam didnt sound worn out at all last night, as good on song 32 as he was on song 1.
The lack of video footage from these shows disturbs me haha I did catch a rendition of them doing “New American Classic” which aounded great, and there’s a video of “...Slowdance” that sounded good too. As soon as this tour hits Philly, i’m going...except if it’s on my wedding day obviously.
oh also one of the cooler moments of the show was during "Little Devotional", John and Nate did harmonizing guitar parts for the little intro riff which sounded so freakin' cool.
After having listened to "All Ready to Go" a bunch of times now, does anybody think the song is about Eddie's departure from TBS? "Devil's water" (alcohol), "i know you can't help yourself," Adam acknowledging he's been there himself (alcoholism), and acknowledging they miss him but "cant't remember why" (the relationship wasn't perfect/had its problems). In this lens, the song seems to say they tried to help but they couldn't get through to him, and he was "already gone" by the time they officially kicked him out.
you could be on to something, if that's the case it sounds like the relationship ended badly (at least from adam's perspective).
Woah didn't even think about that. Also, is it known that he was kicked out or is that just speculation?
We will probably never hear the real story but my guess is he wasn't kicked out - at least not at first. Because he would still play a few shows with the band here and there despite missing most of the shows these past few years. So either he finally just left for good or the band said we can't do this anymore and let him go.
