I def don't think Louder Now is the worst, but it's also not that far off, WYWTB is my favorite tho. I doubt I would've liked whatever that lineup came up with as a follow-up to LN as much as New Again.
Nice avatar, I got about 2/3rds of the way through FF9 back when it came out and never finished it. I'm finally playing it again on my iPad. I loved Louder Now when it came out. I still really like 7/11 of the songs, unfortunately I think it ended on a low note with the last 2 songs and they left 2 really great songs off (Brooklyn, Sleep).
Never understood those. NA is pretty darn close to what they're doing now. If anything NA flows nicely into HI and TW, where self titled seems like the weird detour, minus a song or two.
I've always felt this way as well. It has done serious low points but the highs are so damn high. Makes it a hard album to rank
I'll Let You Live/Divine Intervention/Blackout/Twenty Twenty weigh it down for me. Not that they're terrible songs, but with the quality of the first three tracks and My Blue Heaven, they cause things to drag a ton at points. Spin and Error are really fun jams, and i'll die for Miami. It sits in sixth for me
I don't get the strong hate for Louder Now. Honestly, the only song I don't like on the album is Up Against. I personally LOVE I'll Let You Live. I look forward to the repress.
Yea this hate for louder now seem so weird to me. Theres no bad song on there. Every TBS conversation is wildly different...
listening to more louder now today since it's been the topic recently. to say something more positive about the record, i think adam sounds his best on here, and fred too. also gotta mention rubano's slick bass playing throughout the whole thing. but yeah, a few of the songs just standing out amongst the worst in their disco keep it a hair behind new again
Up Against and Twenty-Twenty are the only bad tracks on Louder Now, imo. Never understood the hate for Error Operator though.. super catchy, great guitars and bass, idk!
That is my least favorite Taking Back Sunday song ever. I never understood the appeal/why so many people love it when all they do is sing "Miaaaaamiiiii, Miaaaammiiii" over and over for 3 minutes.
