Alright yeah, fair enough. I'd be curious if they did go with a more political video what route they'd take with it
Fences would definitely be the best choice for some sort of political statement. But Call Come Running is probably the best choice for a single. So damn catchy.
When I saw John play solo here a year and a half ago, he talked about how his hair is so much better than Trump's. We all cheered. I can't stand Holy Water, so I hope it's Fences or Call Come Running.
Idk man....I can totally see a video of Adam and the guys at different rallies, perhaps with the speaker only seen in blurry movement or from behind, but very obviously trump....saying insane shit while the crowd stands there transfixed while Adam or John are looking around nervously/sadly wondering WTF is going on...etc. Edit-I should add that this would be to "We Don't Go In There" lol
I'm surprised they're even releasing another video. When I saw the 'stay tuned' announcement, I thought they were going to announce another US tour.
Damn, was hoping they'd go political. Also I like All Excess better haha....but Call Come Running is catchy.
I dunno, they toured with the Used for like a whole year during Happiness Is. Festivals are always going to have those type of bands, TBS doesn't get to pick who is there.
I think for a band like them though, it's how they sustain. Happiness Is... had great sales but Tidal Wave didn't seem to have the same impact. They've all got kids, they've all got families. That's not cheap to keep up with. Obviously I have zero insight to how or how much money they make.
I wish Tidal Wave had better sales numbers. I honestly think it is my third favorite TBS album at this point.
I'm sure they did well enough last year on taste of chaos alone ha. Plus they sold well on the tidal wave tour, it was small clubs hit the tickets prices were high
Maybe, but I'm sure they split the profits in a ton of different ways. I mean, there are 5 of them, plus techs and other staff and managers and whatnot. I have two buddies who live in Charlotte, within 5 minutes of John and Adam, and I can assure you my friends are living in far larger homes/nicer neighborhoods than John and Adam...not that there is anything wrong with that or reflective of how well off they are...but I really don't think they're making a killing or anything.
I'm glad they chose Call Come Running. That was one of the standouts on the album for me right away, and I think it has big potential for success.
Cool video, the ending on the beach is great. This song is catchy as hell, so I hope it does well as a single.
Felt like the album got zero promotion. It really was a great record from them and I was incredibly surprised and slightly disheartened to see the numbers it produced.
I wonder what the tonality of the next record will be like. Happiness Is was just very dark and deals with a lot of heavy topics, and Tidal Wave seems to be a bit about moving past that and finding hope. I''m excited to see where they go next. I have this horrible gut feeling that they might call it quits soon. Idk why just have a weird feeling
Same feeling. Maybe not call it quits completely but just kinda fade it out slowly. Play some shows here and there. Still want a solo record from Adam though.
