Holy Water is a great song, but it should’ve been recorded a half step down, and Mark’s drumming is kinda buried in the mix towards the end of the song
Little devotional is high quality but it’s still bottom third of the album for me. Goes to show how insanely good the record is.
180 by Summer is easily a top five song and even that is played inconsistently. Who makes these set lists????? Also I saw Adam told somebody they would consider Swing, but I don’t know how likely that is.
Ticket prices for most shows have gone up during the past 10 years... I'm less apt to see a band I just kinda like for $25+
I think Mark used to be the primary set-list creator, but I dunno if that's still the case. In terms of New Again songs, i don't see why they wouldn't include Summer, Man and Swing in the sets more regularly, or Carpathia for that matter. They've managed to throw Catholic Knees and Everything Must Go into sets since John and Shaun came back.
I’d assume it was mainly a Fazzi written song? Isnt that why they don’t play “This Photograph is Proof” anymore?
I would love to see both Sink Into Me and Photograph come back into their set for sure. Summer Man would be killer too.
I remember reading Adam saying he doesn't like a lot of the songs from WYWTB (specifically Fred Astaire) because he wishes they were written or structured differently, which could be why they aren't played a lot. I would love to hear some different renditions of older songs but I doubt they'd spend any time doing that now, considering two members of the current lineup werent a part of them at all.
I remember that as well. I think he said he wished he had written a different melody for Fred Astaire or something. I dunno what he's talking about though because that vocal melody is great.
during Fred's tenure they used to play a super slowed down version of "You Know How I Do" which was incredible. I've been looking for videos of it for years. The first verse was this eerie, ballad-ish thing that just exploded. It was amazing.
Part of me still selfishly wonders if they'd audition fans to fill Eddie's spot haha probably never gonna happen though
wondering how this tour will go with coheed and cambria? I don't think they will be able to match the impressive showmanship of coheed at all
Depends when you catch them because they start their tours off great, but then they lose steam towards the end as Adam's voice gets more worn out.
Am I too late jump on the WYWTB talk and say that The Union is Def one of their top tier songs. @ncarrab
again, if you go through Eddie's IG, it looks like he was fighting some battles. a lot of it has been deleted. none of that is really our business though and just wishing the best for him and his family.
You are 100% right. It's just still weird thinking of tbs without Eddie Reyes and that they may or may not be on bad terms. These guys were my childhood/teens/early 20s.
