I got my wires crossed a bit, take 2 (second video) is closer to the final version, but the demo in the first video is the one I wish had made the album.

 

Can’t say i’m surprised given his absences. Hopefully it was an amicable parting.

 

sad but not surprising. there was definitely something more to his extended absence that went completely unexplained.

 

I hope that doesn’t mean things with his kid are real bad

what was that about? i don't remember ever hearing that but for sure would make sense as to why he's no longer in the band.

 

I can't remember who or where it was said, but apparently a while back his absence was explained because he had to be home with a sick daughter.

 

This has more to do with Eddie's well being, than his daughter. He was going through a rough time, seemed to have gotten back on track, but maybe slipped up or realized being on tour just isn't the healthiest place for him to be anymore.

 

At the tidal wave release show, Eddie was missing. Adam explained his absence as his daughter being sick. There’s evidence of this on Eddie’s instagram.
However, in the following spring he left in the middle of the U.K. tour and stopped appearing with them. He also went really silent on social media, and TBS never said anything about it. He was gone from mid-March until the holiday shows in December. There’s a lot of talk about it being his daughter but it feels more like a rehab/addiction thing, especially considering his Facebook posts.

I noticed recently he wasn’t posting about his kids on social media as much so I hope everything in his personal life is okay.

 

If this is some insider info, thanks for that! Hope he can get stuff back on track and get back to where he wants to be in life.

 

whatever the case, hope that he and his family are happy/healthy or can get to being happy/healthy.

Sad day. Hope it was amicable. Of all the guys that have come and gone, this one really sticks out.

Whatever the case, they are really trying to bury the story by announcing it on a Friday evening.

 

When the coheed tour was announced Eddie posted about it, so it feels like this was both in the making for a while and kind of sudden at the same time

Damn...but this was a LONG time coming. He's hardly been with the band for the past two years now so I read the writing on the wall a while ago. Still sucks. Really hope he's alright.

Time to bring back Fred?

 

I would be excited about this band for the first time in years if Fred came back

 

Nah, they’ll just move their touring guitarist up front like they did last summer. I don’t think they have a need for a full on replacement.

 

He does a great job too. He can nail some of those back up vocals and piano parts.
