TBS is one of the only bands (that I’ve listened to, I’m sure it applies to others) where they can put out an album and have some of their all time best and their all time worst songs. Sometimes it switches from track to track. It’s so weird how all over the place they get quality wise.
I prefer it over all of those except maybe spin. I find the chorus so elegant and almost soothing, especially with the backing guitar.
Miami is an amazing song and I'd choose it over the majority of their songs from the past 3 albums. Money however, is among their worst songs.
Yeah, Money, Cut Me Up Jenny and Up Against are some pretty shitty songs. All 3 of which have b-sides from their respective albums that are infinitely better songs.
It's funny you say this Because if you think it's garbage Then you listened to it So It's... by definition Not unlistenable. Sorry.
But how can one truly say it without listening to it at least once? Or, I could be speaking of it during this time, which would still be true. Context is important. Since I left it vague, it still works from a certain point of view.
Cut Me Up Jenny hate????? Song is awesome! I love the jenny/gently interchanging. If I had to pick a TBS song to erase it would be I'll Let You Live up until the chorus.
My bad. Miami is atrocious unlistenable garbage. How in the hell could a band put such greatness on an album like Spin/My Blue Heaven/WIFLTBAG and also have shit stain like Miami? It’s absurd how far apart they are in quality. It’s unbelievable.
I'm not sure what was going on in your life when you first heard that song, but whoever you were then, you can't ever be again.
It’s a fine song but definitely shouldn’t be a set staple. Worst TBS song is sad savior or money. My goodness those choruses are bad.
