Yeah. I think that was a Spotify exclusive deal and they kinda curated that entire covers record. I was able to log into my old Spotify account and hear it but never actually found a rip or anything.
I was a big fan of New Again, I never understood all of the hate for it. I think the biggest problem with it was the fact that the band had so much momentum after Louder Now and New Again wasn't a proper follow up to it. Sink Into Me was a great single but there was nothing to follow it up for the masses to enjoy like all the singles from LN. Also had the opportunity to talk to Fazzi in person a few times after his time in TBS and he's truly SUCH a nice dude. Saw that version of TBS about 5-7 times in those years and was at his first show at The Crazy Donkey in Long Island. They played under a fake name, "Lance Stryker and the Rockaholics" i believe. He always had a ton of energy and had a really great voice. EOTC played that show too, it was a blast. I think for most people though, including myself, the original lineup is TBS. If I had to rank it would be: Louder Now Happiness Is WYWTB Tidal Wave TAYF New Again Taking Back Sunday Also, before anyone kills me, I love TAYF but find that I mostly revisit it now for nostalgia purposes and at 31 years old it's hard to relate to the songs as much as the albums ranked above it.
For anyone who liked the bracket game and enjoys Jack’s Mannequin, I started a bracket for Jack’s Mannequin. Feel free to join us herehttps://forum.chorus.fm/posts/1564262
I've said it before and i'll say it again. the second half of Where You Want To Be is the best Side B of any TBS record. I am Fred Astaire, Number Five With A Bullet, Little Devotional and Slowdance on the Inside are all such underrated songs.
Lest we forget that TBS Bracket Challenge winner "180 By Summer" is also on that Side B as well. Such a great track line-up.
A HUGE thank you to @MatthewDuke for this one! Thank you for looking out, my man! One of my biggest musical collection regrets are now fulfilled thanks to you.
Dem Matt Fazzi vocals tho...also this wasn't as terrible on Adam's end as I worried it might be. And of course, Rubano's bass work kills
I wish they would do full band promo for an album again. Every appearance outside of touring since New Again is just a couple acoustic guitars
Good call. I think the New Again cycle was the last time they were on Kimmel. I guess the Facebook Live stream of their Tidal Wave show in NYC last year kinda counts, right?
Haha half credit maybe. I would've loved to see some late night performances of the last two albums for sure.
I have this issue with other bands too. The Movielife just had Vinnie and Brandon playing acoustic. I wonder if it's a common thing to save money.
"'Member "I used to be in Taking Back Sunday" t-shirts? 'Member that tour also had Envy on the Coast? Aw yeaaah I 'member that."- Member Berries, probably.
