Makes sense, i thought it was a super lofty goal anyway. Frank Turner is doing something like this too in Woodstock, NY next year. Its a weekend camping thing called Campfire Punk Rock like the EP
i've been super curious about the whole Eddie thing too because TW was getting great feedback from fans and critics, and the band seemed happy. I hope he does come back for the next album at least.
someone posted that a while ago but we didnt know if it was any more than just speculation at the time
for those of you that don't know. john nolan wrote "magazines" by brand new. a friend of mine was at his solo show this weekend and he played it. pretty dope
Ha. I wish. Just seems odd to pull this song out now while Brand New is soaring high on the new release.
Someone at the show could've said something to him about Brand New or asked him what he thinks of Science Fiction, and it probably snowballed from there. I could be wrong, but aren't he and Jesse cool now?
Taking Back Sunday's Adam Lazzara talks Slam Dunk festival appearance and new music - NME Nothing really new in here other than the band is in beginning stages of getting together to write new album. Maybe I'm looking too much into this, but he does not mention Eddie when they talk about living in other areas. He mentions John, Shaun and Mark by name though. Could be to point out that john and adam live close together and Shaun and Mark live close together, I don't know.
Their Instagram account posted a pic of Eddie yesterday. I know it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s still in the band but seems like if he was out they wouldn’t have posted it
I have a feeling it just comes down to Eddie not wanting it to be talked about. I'm sure he'll return. They all seem close & they may just be respecting his issues and his right to talk about whatever it is.
First of all that article needed some damn editing before hitting submit. Idk what to make of the eddie business (or lack of), but it would be sad to see him go. I’m always shocked at how quickly recently theyve been gearing back up for more albums due to how big their individual families are getting. I really thought TW would end up being their last album. Glad to be wrong about that.
I'd like to see them continue down the path they were on with Tidal Wave, honestly, along with the b-sides and more "experimental" moments of Happiness Is
Stoked to hear they're starting to work on new material. I like the direction they've gone in with the last two albums. I would definitely love to hear more stuff in the vein of Fences, All Excess, Holy Water, or All The Way.
The article @ncarrab posted a few above me talks about them emailing rough song ideas back and forth to each other.
