Yes, everyone do this he's doing a good job running it. And also don't forget my LP one tomorrow :) I'm letting the brackets run longer than these ones did so y'all can brush up on their newer stuff
Man I just saw Everything Must Go played live like 3 and a half hours ago and it was incredible. Would have loved to see it win
Damn I'm kind of upset that I was sleeping during this final round. But I'm glad I got to see 180 win. It's my favorite TBS song of all time. It kills me everytime. I had so much fun with all of you.
Where You Want To Be New Again Tidal Wave Taking Back Sunday Happiness Is Louder Now Tell All Your Friends I have listened to Live From Orensanz so much that if I were to rank it it would probably take the fifth spot. This was haaaard!
Sounds good! Though if you want to brush up on their newer stuff there's time, I'm making rounds Last most the day like I did in the Blink one before. I tried faster brackets here for TBS, missed a lot of people
Riot Fest aftershows were announced. TBS is playing a 700 capacity room on 9/17. Really hoping to get tickets for it.
and poof, thread activity plummets haha listened to New Again on the way to school this morning. what a good wake up record.
How are the current tour dates? I was out of the UK on their last time here in Feb and was hoping they'd have come back on this run but apparently not
Just went to Cinci last night. It was really good. They looked like they are having so much fun. Fan reaction for new songs is still pretty slim but I was having a blast during new songs.
i know i missed the earlier GJ convo but their first album is so hard for me to listen to now that yeah it would basically be W&T, the b-sides, and the EPs. anyways, NA is great and Catholic Knees sounds like TBS stab at a Glassjaw song and i love it
I guess I can see some slight similarities there, pretty much entirely due to the bass tone in Catholic Knees.
After this bracket I do find that after returning to the song, I like the chorus quite a bit in "New Again" and find myself hearing it in my head randomly.
New Again has the potential for a great album written all over it, but the producer they used wasn't right for them/didn't properly utilize their style and strengths and Fazzi didn't get enough love. That being said Rubano's work on that album is excellent. The bass tones and the way they mixed the bass on that album are the best we've heard from the band imo, Tidal Wave being a close second.
Interesting, I've been listening to NA a lot recently, and I think I've come to the conclusion that it's their best produced record by a good margin.
