I had a dream last night Eddie sold me weed in the bathroom of a fancy restaurant. I kept reading things on this site about people having dreams with their favorite bands in them and thinking it was weird, and then it happened to me haha
Are there random people blocked from TBS's twitter? I'm blocked for some reason. My twitter is on private and I don't know if I've ever even tweeted about them.
Listening to Happiness Is today and I think "All the Way" might be the most underrated TBS song. Man. What a great fucking song that is.
Not a huge fan but yeah, Louder Now and the single "You're so last summer" were cool from the first album. Still want to hear more of new Tidal Wave album they dropped but not seriously excited yet.
they confirmed in a podcast they'll be playing extra long sets on this upcoming tour. playing a whole set of the new album, then a second set with all the classics.
I disagree. I thought the s/t was really circling the wagons to try and make a fan-service record. And the last felt like a very conscious (and labored) effort to "mature". I just want them to be creative and take chances.
Pfff. El Paso wasn't a risk? Sad Saviour? All the Way? Don't get me wrong, I still want them to push further. Remember how brave Straylight Run was? Or John's solo albums. I'd love to hear TBS go somewhere weird this time around. I think I'm in the minority that really enjoys the new song.
I wish more bands would do this. I actually might consider going to one of their shows if this is the case. I love it when bands get 100% behind their new music.
Exactly how I feel. I love that TBS is back to enjoying creating music together rather than being an apparent drama filled mess that it was before the reunion, but I enjoy their releases less and less every time I hear something new. I loved every TBS album up until the reunion, and I loved everything from Straylight Run. It's weird.
I mean big surprise but some of their b-sides (Desert Song, My Way Home is Through You, Heaven Help Us) are among my favourite songs of all time. I think Fightstar are my favourite band for b-sides though just because they have so many that I love so much.
I feel like Happiness Is was a huge step forward for the band, makes me extremely excited for Tidal Wave.
