That's really weird. I love both of those bands but I can't imagine a lot of people being there for both
I saw Straylight twice, the first time being before the album even came out. But the second time was an amazing bill: Straylight Run headlining, with Minus the Bear, Spitalfield and The Honorary Title opening.
I saw Straylight Run on Warped Tour in 2006. They played Big Shot(Hands In The Sky) to close the set. It was funny; a clear sunny day up to that point. When they started playing that song the wind picked up. Right when John started screaming during the "hands in the sky" part, it started pouring and thundering and lightning. They played through it like a champ. After the reunion I jokingly asked Nolan if he planned that with god before the show on that Forumspring thing they used for a bit, and he replied "I totally did."
saw straylight a few times over the years, warped tour, headlining, opening for bayside, always a great live band. i'd love for more from them, but i dont see it happening.
If I'm choosing between SR and TBS having its OG lineup, I'll choose TBS any day. If I can have both that would be sweeeet
I prefer the Straylight discography as a whole over TBS. I don't love every SR song, but I like them all in some way. I can't bring myself to listen to certain TBS songs.
-You're So Last Summer -The Blue Channel (damn you for pitting two of the best right off the bat) -Cute Without the E -Great Romances
I saw Straylight once opening for The Used. I remember being very excited when they came out bc the website had a typo and listed them as Straylight Raygun. I thought it was some band I hadn't heard of so I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be them lol
Pretty sure "I keep the lights down low, so she knows I mean business" is one of my least favorite TBS lines ever. "A thousand clever lines, unread on clever napkins" happens to be a favorite though. This is album is a much easier vote for me.

Confession: earlier, when I said I hated bike scene, I was just being dramatic. I love the whole album. I guess you could say I'm an addict for dramatics.
