cool, for some reason I couldn't find it last night. I was specifically looking for Blue Channel, but I didn't see this either. thanks!
gotcha! I do remember that one. Although, I think I prefer the live version in that studio. Can't recall what site. Lemme try to find it. THIS
Listening to Tidal Wave right now and just thought I may not have gone a week without listening to it since it came out. Without a doubt my favourite TBS album now.
hell yeah man, i love this performance too. I just like the crowd singing in that other one, also Michelle is in it which is cool
I might have the whole set on my hard drive. I'll try to remember to check it out later tonight, if I forget just say something to me
that would be super cool! I used to have it somewhere but could not find it. It may be on my dead laptop. Oops.
Current ratios of preference by recommendation You're So Last Summer-5 Your Own Disaster-16 Ghostman On Third-18 The Blue Channel-3 Cute Without The 'E'(Cut From The Team)-11 Bike Scene-10 Great Romances of The 20th Century-17 The Ballad Of Sal Villanueva-4
You're So Last Summer Ghostman On Third Cute Without The 'E'(Cut From The Team) Great Romances of The 20th Century So Last Summer is the first TBS song I ever heard. I was hooked from the start. Tough match up for it to go against Your Own Disaster to start, but it wins out. I'd say these are the two most mellow songs from these recording sessions too. Ghostman and Blue Channel are my two least favorite on the album (both still good though). Ghostman wins for having a great chorus and ending. The end of Bike Scene is another classic TBS moment for me, but You just can't beat the main riff in Cute and the classic "why can't i feel..." sing along line. Great Romances goes back and forth with You Know How I Do for my favorite on the album.
I think this album has a few of their best songs (ghost man is top 3-5) but half of it is completely forgettable for me. Even cute without the e, I like it but think it's way overrated.
i think people may just be burnt out on it. it's been a set staple for years. at least that was my reasoning. I do love the song though, my band used to cover it all the time when we were first starting out
The emotion and memories I have tied to these songs is unreal. I won't pretend they are the best crafted songs, but in its own way, this album is perfection.
This. I don't hate it but I got burnt out on it. Although when I saw them in October and they played all of Tidal and then 10 other songs, they did NOT play YSLS
