yeah, Brian could make "Money" their best song if he sang it. Let's be honest

 

I saw Gaslight play directly before TBS at Bamboozle a few years ago and Brian went on tangent during their set about how much he loved TBS and thought "Decade" was one of the best songs ever written and how he wish he wrote it himself, i was so sure that during TBS' set he would come out and sing on it, but alas I was wrong and would give anything to see a Brian/Adam collab. I've already gotten Brian/Bruce & Brian/Keith Buckley, so I am hopeful.

 

It was very random, TBS played the night before Gaslight was playing and he happened to be there. I think Adam actually mentioned the story above before Brian came out.

I had absolutely no idea Brian would come out though it was a great surprise

 

I feel like their solo styles could blend well together too. Both seem to love the folk-esque sound.

 

See? And people on other threads complain these games ruin the threads. Y'all have had more discussions these past few weeks than in a very long time on here lol

 

I seriously love that song. I catch myself singing it all of the time.

 

It's the best TBS discussion I've been a part of in the 10 years since I joined AP.

sad to see decade lose but both are such great songs i'm glad they both made it, i'd be fine to move onto TAYF right this minute!

 

Yeah, I am kind of in shock that Decade didn't sweep but 180 is another classic TBS song IMO so I'm ok with it. Maybe the only other song I'd be ok with beating it.

 

Honestly, this is closer than I expected it to be! 180 really is a phenomenal song, easily top 5 TBS songs for me, and even tho I prefer Decade I understand why someone would prefer 180.

I just drove around for an hour in my lifted jeep with top and doors off blasting this album. I know we can't change our vote but damn 180 is fantastic.

Alright everyone, welcome to the TAKING BACK SUNDAY FACE OFF. This will be NCAA style matches, with randomly generated brackets for each album facing off to decide which is the winner of each album. At the end of all of the albums, we'll do a finale Champions Bracket to decide the best overall TBS song. We will start off with Tidal Wave and work our way backwards. Here are the rules:

3. Feel free to discuss why you chose one song over the other and why you like that song. It's what helps keeps these fun!
