Both of these songs have great build ups, so the final round is going to be a match up between the build ups of "I've got a bad feeling about this" against "She says live up to your first impression, my best side was your worst invention, why can't you live without the attention"

Ugh. Phasers is probably my 2nd favorite on the album. It is a perfect opener. That punchy guitar riff is a quick signal that this isn't going to be the same as TAYF and it's so damn catchy. It's another song where the rhythm section really stands out too. Also, I've always loved the fact that the first words on the album where "I'm sorry it took me so long". There wasn't too long of a gap between TAYF and WYWTB, but I just see it as a nice wink to the listener to start the album. Sucks to vote it out. But as I've said before, 180 is the best TBS song.

Photo has one of my favorite drum parts from Mark. Can't praise that guy enough. I love Fred's guitar part there too, but Decade is just a better overall song.

God this is a great album. Almost every song is stellar. Tough choices.

 

I really do love all of these songs, like, a lot. One of my favorite moments on the record is in Photograph; the way Adam sings "it's never bad enough to just leave or give up, but it's never good enough to feel right." Love that they didn't try and get a cleaner take of those vocals.

I'm going to implode or spontaneously combust during the TAYF bracket, I guarantee it

 

I have my top 2 for TAYF in mind, but I could see it being even more wide open than Louder Now. There probably six songs I think have a fighters chance at winning it all depending on match ups.

 

Alright, yeah I hate to do this so quick, but I am going to call a run rule on this match. This is probably one of the fastest run rules I've ever had to call in one of these games. Here is the reason why:
