theres an argument to be made that this band has the best b-sides from the scene. hey, that could possibly be an interesting podcast topic @Thomas Nassiff @Jason Tate whos got the best b-sides/your favorite b-side/s
Well, it's not TBS. Hahahahaha. I thought we talked about this before. I think I said Yellowcard or NFG, and talked about Jimmy Eat World's "Open Bar Reception." I don't know if that was on a podcast or where.
meh, id say between the S/T b-sides, the NA b-sides, and the HI b-sides that theres plenty of great material. oh if you guys did then i missed it, whoops. i wouldve thought JEW or FOB for you haha. those two would be really high up
I'm a fan of most of the band's work, but it feels like every album they've released since after WYWTB there's been at least one song where I've thought "how the hell did that song make the album and this one didn't?".
Pretty sure I said JEW, YC, NFG, and Andrew McMahon somewhere. (I'd take MCR's b-sides over anything TBS has ever released too, if I'm being honest.)
Also, this conversation has me going down a youtube worm hole of b-sides. How have I never heard "Open Bar Reception" before? Why has this been hidden from me?
andrews a good one. no waaaay this band has some incredible songs. but i already know youre stance on this haha. i remember in the podcast "Anticipating The Letdown" you said they were like bad radio rock. to each their own my friend.
they definitly give themselves tough competition because they have several incredible songs, but the bridge of open bar is incredible in itself
Your Own Disaster (Demo or 04'), Follow The Format (If you count it as a b-side), Ballad of Sal Villanueva, Sleep, Brooklyn, New Again and Self Titled b-sides? Come on Jason, they have some quality stuff. You have to admit that.
Brooklyn is a top 10 TBS song for me. Would have loved for it to be the closer instead of I'll Let You Live, or replace one of the other songs.
