My understanding is that the sets are N1: TAYF/either WYWTB or LN/favorites and N2: TAYF/whichever wasn't played N1/favorites. For cities with two nights, both shows are getting TAYF in full plus another album and I'm assuming the singles off of the rest of the discography. Wondering if they approach this like the NFG 20 year tour where it was two albums per night but not in order - this would allow them to finish on "Make Damn Sure" or whatever they're closing shows with lately.
That’s twenty two songs each night (assuming they play your own disaster; 23 if they do sal). I can’t imagine they’ll do anything more.
Louder Now is a better album than WYWTB, but it has been a dream of mine to see them play This Photograph is Proof live (seen them 7 times and they have never played it), so not sure which day I would want to go to, tough decision.
From their website directly: – In North America if we are playing two nights in your city, we will be playing Tell All Your Friends, other favorites and we will flip a coin on night one for either Where You Want To Be or Louder Now in full as well! Whichever one we play night one, we’ll play the other night two, along with Tell All Your Friends and other favorites. It sounds like these are gonna be long sets, maybe there will not be any openers, and it'll just be them for like 2 hours.
Tell All Your Friends is only 33 minutes long. The other two are 43-45 minutes long; not out of the question to see them do a 90 minute set with the two albums and 3-5 more songs as an encore. For NFG's 20 year album shows, they were playing 25-27 songs a night (two albums per + a 3-4 song encore) and had Trash Boat play 6-7 songs as an opener.
Is this post actually serious? If so, that's crazy. I'd love to see a Fred appearance on A Decade Under The Influence or something.
yeah there’s no way that’s real, but it’d be awesome to see Fred come out and do some of these songs. i just doubt they do it though
ha yeah, i assume that. i just, don’t know how good it’ll sound. john doesn’t have nearly as good as a singing voice that fred does (though Fazzi probably had the best voice overall from all members), so that’s all i meant
I'm going to say something that I'm sure others in this thread have. For all the interviews of Adam saying they don't want to become a nostalgia act.. they sure do a lot of nostalgia themed shows..
Cant wait for a DMV area date to be announced. Missed out on the TAYF 10 yr tour in 2012, so im super hyped for this!
I'm going to prepare to go to both nights when a second leg gets announced (I'm assuming it'll be announced down the road), but if Where You Want to Be is played the first night, I'll probably sell my second night ticket.
