Just wanted to pop in here to say that the "A Decade Under the Influence" performance from Live at Orensanz is low-key the best part of that whole album, which is saying a lot.
I love that version, esp with the string section adding in that extra part at the end. It's hard to pick a best part of that album, Make Damn Sure and Everything Must Go are amazing on it as well.
I really wish their cover of Green Day's "She" was available for download or purchase anywhere. I can only find it on Spotify and would love to own it, I love it so.
A friend was at the Utica, NY show the other day and texted me the following: "So the other night when they played spin Adam was like this song was written about a situation with a band that ripped a lot of our stuff when we were younger. But they were later sued by a guy called Wes from American Nightmare" I had heard a little bit of the FOB/TBS beef, but never knew Spin was about it. Pretty interesting.
I never knew those two had a beef. That's weird to hear. Even weirder that Spin is about it, I never picked that up from the lyrics.
The lyrics in the booklet say Spin, sugar, spin. I remember people speculating about it (I believe on the TBS Union forums) after reading that. Also, Adam gave an interview and was asked about a situation/altercation with Pete and basically said he couldn’t talk about it
ugh I remember this but couldn't remember what it was about. pretty much said something about lawyers saying he couldn't speak on it? makes you wonder about the lyrics now.
