An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I had to force myself not to just put 10 Tidal Wave songs as my list. Even if I did the song Tidal Wave would not have made it, lol

  2. tidal wave (the song) is one of the weakest songs they've done since coming back for me

flicker fade was very close to making my list and i remember the first time i heard it very fondly

That managed to make it sound like they were both nowhere near recording and fairly close to recording. lmao

Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

Mark is a goddamn beast. I feel like over the course of their career, he’s the member that has improved the most from album to album.

What do they mean they don’t know who they are working with yet! The answer is obvious

Who's the guy who produced WYWTB? It'd be awesome for them to work with him again. But Sapone and Marc Hudson really brought out their best with the last 2 albums so I wouldn't be mad if they went that route again.

Top 10 from the last 3 albums? (in chronological order, excluding B-sides because they'd take up half the list)

Best Places to Be a Mom
It Doesn't Feel a Thing Like Falling
    Call Me in the Morning
    Flicker Fade
All the Way (tough choice between this and Beat Up Car)
    Better Homes and Gardens
    We Were Younger Then
    You Can't Look Back
    Fences
I Felt It Too (Also a tough choice between this, Call Come Running, Death Wolf and In the Middle of It All)

I'm pretty stoked to see so much love for "We Were Younger Then" in these rankings. Kinda wish the band felt the same way (meaning it'd be so cool if they put it in their sets).

I'm stumping for Lou Giordano mainly because WYWTB has the most stacked back-half of any of their albums.

Just went through New Again for the first time in years and I actually enjoyed it. Fazzi made some interesting contributions. It's got a weird jazzy element to it that is both good and bad. Bad cause it comes off as cheesy sometimes, good because it's something different.

I actually would love this mainly for the fact that TBS has been experimenting with different sounds/textures on the last 2 albums and JMJ would really take that to a whole new level for them, plus he'd push Shaun to take his bass playing to the next level as well. It'd be super interesting.

Homecoming is becoming a go-to song for me when I need my spirits lifted. That first proper acoustic guitar strum is like sun through the clouds, soooo fucking good

I loved Shaun’s bass playing on Tidal Wave. Complimented the songs well and was a step up from the last couple. Rubano’s playing deservedly gets more praise but Shaun feels like a perfect fit in the band

I agree. I feel like since the reunion, he's been a given little more room on each album to add cool fills/runs into song.
