seconded. perfect flow, no poor songs, packed full of emotion. not a huge TBS fan and I've been spinning this incessantly
weird. i haven't listened to this band in ages but just recently went on a wytb and lounder now binge recently. really picky in their discog for anything past that.
Agreed that Tidal Wave is their best. I'm honestly not that into their pre-reunion material these days.
late 2019 seems like a good bet for a new record, 2-3 years is usually their cycle between albums and we are almost at 2 years since TW which is crazy
not the biggest TBS fan, but I was surprised at how good this record is when it first came out. Still holds up very well. Would put it right after Louder Now and before Where You Want It To Be in my favs.
I'm a huge TBS fan - maybe the only person I know who legitimately loves all their records. And Tidal Wave is DEFINITELY their best one, hands down.
I love all their records too. We should be friends. Obviously it’s subjective but it’s definitley one of their best, maybe their best when I remove nostalgia, imo.
I like this album, but it's definitely not my favorite of theirs. I'd put WYWTB and LN above it easily. I find some of Adam's vocals on this to be really bad, and I don't think either of those other two albums have any songs as weak as "You Can't Look Back".
Crazy how this band still can't seem to figure out album closers. Also the way Adam sings "Jacksonvill" like jacksonveeele still kills me haha.
LN sounds like poop, the bass drum sounds like it was recorded in a tin can. can never get into that album bc of that.
