they arent playing too big of venues. they played an 800 cap here and it didnt sell out til the day before.
really great, Adam can actually sing the notes. I felt it too started rough, i don't think he could hear what was going on over the crowd talking in the beginning, also there was so much reverb on the guitars.. he eventually found his pitch halfway through the second verse and it was fantastic.. The vocals are really buried live which is fine for the older songs but I wanted to hear these new ones more upfront. He sounded good on them I could tell the notes were intune but the mix felt guitar heavy. I really enjoyed it and am thankful to have seen the album performed in full
So does anybody on here live within driving distance of Nashville? My friend from work is set to go with me on Tuesday to the show, got him into all their old stuff and the new album to where they are his second band.....and he comes down with the flu today lol. I need a contingency plan so in case he isn't better by Tuesday I'm not going to this thing alone lol, sadly all my TBS loving friends live back up in Cleveland, OH and the friends I have around here either work or aren't into them lol. PM me if interested. Note that this is contingency, obviously if he feels better and up to going I cannot sell/giveaway his ticket from under him lol
Pm me if you need a buddy. I'll be there, over paid for my ticket, trying to get rid of it cause there's cheaper ones now. But I'll be at the nashville show.
Regarding the new album live, Adam's pitch issues and heavy vibrato that sounded so rough on the stream are totally fine in a live venue where you can't hear finer points live. And there are some moments where he really nails it Also "Holy Water" has definitely cracked my top 5 TBS songs now
The hard ranking for me to do will be deciding if TBS, Weezer, blink or Every Time I Die will be my favorite album this year lol.
Just got back from the show. Super fun, amazing show. Tidal wave was awesome live (50-75 of the crowd knew the songs, there was one or two dudes who yelled 'Play the old shit' MID SONG but they shut up quick). Got to meet up with @Jdaniels for the show too so that was fun. Whole set and crowd was a blast, I got right up on the gate barrier at the stage. Got to high five Adam during Death Wolf and got one of John's picks. Great night....minus the one dude and his girl who literally screwed on the barrier during Fences, then proceeded to start beating up a girl who called them out on it. They got ejected lol.
