"I Felt It Too" is so stupidly good. The faint background vocals before each chorus; such a nice touch.
I listened to the album earlier and I reckon it's fantastic. Gave me the goosebumps I never got while listening to Happiness Is.
Tidal wave is super growing on me. Really Homecoming is the only one that hasn't grown on me completely(not that I dislike it). Really digging Death Wolf, Call Come Running, Fences, Cant Look Back and Holy Water have been in my head for a couple days now. All Excess had a moment too though not as often. Mainly had been Death, Holy, and Call the past few days. I still haven't memorized 100% of the lyrics, but I've moved the rating from a 6/10 to a 7.5-8/10
I'm at the point in my listening experience where I can pick basically any song and really enjoy it. Also, I really like how they beefed up the kick on this puppy/album.
Bought the very last ticket for tonight's show yesterday, I'm an idiot for waiting til last minute to get them but thankfully due to a constant refresh of Craigslist this morning I was able to find another for my girlfriend, for ten bucks cheaper than face value no less
I think my favorite songs are Call Come Running, I Felt It Too, and Fences. There's a very even level of quality to this whole thing though. My least favorite are probably the last two, but that could change
I really do love this album. Kind of surprised tbh. I think this album improves on the concrete laid by the self titled and Happinees Is in every way. And I know I've beaten this horse to death and turned it into glue, but fuck me if I Felt It Too is a top tier TBS track
First 4 tracks in a row and then skipping to Call Come Running is the way to go for me. I don't dislike a single track though.
I'm loving everything but current the favorites are: You Can't Look Back, Homecoming, Call Come Running, We Don't Go In There. Haven't skipped a track once and have probably listened at least 30x through this week.
I was very annoyed trying to buy this record. Went to two different shops in my town and they didn't have it. Then I checked out the local best buy, figured they would definitely have it. Nope. Oh well, ended up ordering on Amazon, which isn't the end of the world.
Agree with Call Come Running and Fences. I Felt It Too is just alright for me. I guess I want more from the song after a slow start and build-up. Tidal Wave is by far my least favorite track, although within the context of the record, it fits pretty well.
Homecoming is the only track I haven't really been feeling, but it's starting to grow on me. I haven't skipped a track once but I was tempted to with In The Middle of It All, it's a good enough song, it's just a little too straightforward for me. I still listen to it, though.
7 days since it's come out. This is definitely the most I've listened to a new record this year, except for maybe Gore. Averages out to two full plays a day. I probably would have listened to it more if I didn't have such a crazy week at work. I don't even feel like I've started to get tired of it yet. This will be played for a while.
One week later and this is getting more and more spins. So proud of this band for what they've created here. Can't wait to see them next month.
