should all be on YouTube to listen to, including commentary from Nolan and Adam on the tracks. all of those s/t demos are good
There's a bass fill on I'll find a way to make it what you want and I couldn't remember where else I had heard it. It's on stray lights self titled record either it's for the best or mistakes we knew we were making. That song is actually very stray light run musically
I'm going to the Nashville show with my buddy from work who had never heard of tbs. I got him into all their old shit and he likes it so much he ordered tidal wave lol.
One of my favorite tbs songs. However, the bass line reminds me of the Jolly Roger Bay theme from Super Mario 64.
There's a lot that I like about this album and a lot that I don't like. I enjoy it so much more than Happiness Is, so far.
Gaslight is a top 2-3 band for me - as much as I love TBS, I love Gaslight more. So... Yes? I feel like everyone should like both bands lol.
I haven't enjoyed or cared about anything TBS has released since Louder Now, but I'm actually quite enjoying this release. As others have said, I feel like the reunited TBS has finally found their niche sound on this record. Will be a good summer driving album.
I don't know why we are talking about Gaslight, but they are like Bayside to me... good band, good sound, keep writing the same songs/albums.
The only similarity I'd say between TBS and GA is the Americans lean that has become more prevalent in newer TBS.
Are gaslight and tbs that similar? I've actually never given gaslight a try. In fact the only time I've heard them is when they opened for.....I can't remember it was either brand new or alkaline trio way back in like 07-08
I gave this a fair shot and listened to it twice, but I can't get into it. There's a couple good songs but overall I find it pretty boring. There are some songs with potential, but I think they missed the bar by a little bit.
I actually don't know if I would have given this a chance a few years ago but my music taste has expanded a lot over the last couple of years and love the sound they went for here.
