So o went out and bought the CD....am I the only one with the lyric booklet that doesn't have the lyrics for the last three songs but is instead a repost of the first three songs? Lol

How are the Best Buy bonus tracks?

 

Another thing, is it just me or does Adam sound significantly better on this album than the last two? (I think he does sound much better).

 

Really love this. Total surprise for me.

 

Had no idea there were Best Buy bonus tracks. Hope mine has it. Couldn't find Bayside at all there the day it came out.

 

I think he sounds more like he did on louder now and less new again

 

Speaking of which, Call Come Running sounds very similar to that era of TBS. Could easily be on Louder Now.

 

I get a lot of louder now where you want to be vibes from the album

 

this is going to be a great road trip album next summer

 

Yea just feels like it came out a few months late lol I'm still going to play it a ton for the final week of summer

 

This is their best effort in the last ten years

 

I love the low melody at the end of I felt it too.. almost wish they didnt layer it later with other vocal parts but i understand that's just classic taking back sunday

 

anyone hear the nod to timberwolves in the instrumental bridge of call come running?

 

If I saw this when posted I would've been too hyped for a month since this is all exactly my thoughts haha.

TAYF - classic
WYWTB - my favorite TBS album
Louder Now - good major label debut *but still their weakest release
New Again - very *good
Self-Titled - nice return to form
Happiness Is - enjoy it a lot - band very close to releasing the album they always wanted to release
Tidal Wave - probably the album the band has always wanted to write and is incredibly dope

I'm really shocked at all the Louder Now hate throughout this thread...That's news to me.

 

I always thought I was in the minority with thinking Louder Now is their weakest. I don't think it's popular opinion at all, even if a hand full of people in here agree with me. Some good songs on it, but they have a really good discography so one has to come in last....

 

I need to see way more love for "Call Come Running". What a fucking JAM.

 

It's my second favorite with all excess being my first and the middle of it all coming shortly behind

 

shoot i keep forgetting about Death wolf thats up there too for sure

 

I have NO idea what people dislike about "Holy Water" either. I think it's maybe the coolest he's sounded on record. I love that he's finally doing something a little different this many years in.
