oh and to the comment that Adam's range is less on this record I do agree a little bit, but these songs really didn't call for huge belting melodies
i dont like any of those three at all haha. cant look back would be good if i didnt think of "boys of summer" every single time i heard it
so i just finished listening to it, the closer is excellent and the only song that doesn't fit into the album is tidal wave, everything else goes together really well. definitely feels like a good continuation of happiness is. i can't hear john nolan jr at all on call come running though?
also the title track is awesome and works really well where it is, even though it's distinct from everything else on the record
yeah i've come around and i think tidal wave is a fun, good song but i still don't really see its place on the record...would've made a good b side
After listening a couple times. I really like this album. It hits me more than Happiness Is did. IDK why, but in some songs I get a "The Killer's" vibe. GREAT Fall release, too.
I'm really into this album. First listen and I can't pick a favorite. Going to listen all day on repeat.
was just thinking that. it's about 75° and sunny here in NJ right now. this is gonna be great in the car later.
i can't for the life of me figure out why "tidal wave" was the first single or why it's on this album. it's a good song, but it just makes no sense.
Fuck that was good. Love "Call Come Running" followed by "Holy Water". "We Don't Go In There" is great too. So pumped for this show on Saturday. They can play the whole album front to back, I'm stoked now.
Well they "broke" that tradition with their debut album TAYF which is 10 tracks. I'm not sure it should be a b-side but it is a outlier on the album. Also a bit puzzling that it's the first song they officially released for the album being how it doesn't reperesent the rest of it very well.
