Totally agree except Flicker, Fade. That sounds like it's heavily Straylight influenced to me. The first thing I thought when I heard Best Places and Beat Up Car were "this is classic TBS". My top 2 favorite for sure. How could fans not like one of their only heavier tracks live? What a bummer....
Songs like that would be so fitting and awesome for a small club tour. I'd like to imagine they would bust that out and go right into Carpathia.
Blue Channel for me is a top tier song too. I never hear it get any love from TAYF. Sounded awesome live on the reunion tour too.
I'm a weirdo but I much prefer the record version piano opening to the original/demo. I think those fast piano notes segue well into how intense and visceral that song is. That song and The Union remind me of Thursday so much
someone on here recently sent me the uncompressed/pre-mastering version of TAYF and everything on it sounds SO much better.
Someone in here I think told me because of the song meaning, Union would never be played live. Bummer because El Paso, Carpathia, Blue Channel and The Union would be amazing live. I bet fans would lose their minds if those were on the tour.
i saw them play the union a in 2009 right before bamboozle with fazzi at a tiny ass show at a placed called the vibe lounge in LI. probably only about 150-200 people there. was a blast
Oh I bet it was amazing. Apparently it's about John and Shaun leaving the band, so I should have clarified that it won't be played with the current line up. If that's true, I wish they'd suck it up.
Yeah that song is suuuuuper critical of John and Shaun. Which is a shame because it's a great, heavier kind of TBS song
Whoa, why do they hate it? Heart breaking. Granted, should have guessed it since they never play it and Adam's list of favorite songs are so out there.
Because Fred was the man! For the number of line up changes they have had, TBS has always been lucky to find great members. I don't dislike any line up. Ranking them would be hard, though I imagine New Again line up is everyone's least favorite.
Always loved Fred. Fantastic combination of everything good: great guitarist, great vocalist, and was wonderful at songwriting.
