Honestly, it's being overhyped. Yes, it's easily one of the best songs in their discography. No, it's not the greatest rock song ever written. What's so great about the song is that it harkens back to the energy and aggressiveness that made some of their most popular singles so good (Cute, No I In Team, Make Damn Sure)......But if I had to pick one track it sounded most similar to in their discography it's A Decade Under the Influence (also somewhat of an aggressive song).
I heard that Death Wolf will dethrone White Snake's "Here I Go Again" as best rock anthem ever created
I'm not surprised when albums don't leak anymore. Feels like almost nothing leaks out more than a week in advance these days
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like new Hopeless releases haven't streamed early recently. Hoping that isn't the case for TW.
That's still an early stream. Even though you don't have the medium they streamed it early on, it still was an early stream
holy molly you can't look back is awesome. didn't think i'd be this impressed by a tbs song in 2016 but so happy i am.
Sucks, I haven't liked TBS since their debut with Adam and John. Every other iteration and even when they brought back John just wasn't the same. What is this great song everyone is talking about? I have to at least give this a shot.
Death Wolf. The song hasn't been released yet, but some members here have advance copies. The album is out next Friday, the 16th.
Thanks. I just listened to the Tidal Wave single and there are two things I immediately noticed. 1. Adam is speaking with an accent now? Sounds like something from a Modest Mouse album. 2. I got the vibe of later Against Me! Not sure what to think of this, but I'll probably pass.
The second single (Can't Look Back) is better and more closely indicative of the entire album (according to those who have heard it). I'm not a huge fan of Tidal Wave but Can't Look Back is one of my favorite songs of the summer.
