I've been listening to 3eb's self-titled a ton recently and I think the production on it is great. Haven't listened to SFTD in a pretty long time, but I don't think it's bad either. But yeah, his work with TBS is pretty awful.
Miami is good. The guitar solo rips and the outro is one of the best outro's they've written....and this is a band that has had some great ass outros to songs.
Miami just feels like empty calories to me there's not much to it and I forget about it after listening but while I'm listening I enjoy it enough
The 10 best Taking Back Sunday songs, according to singer Adam Lazzara Adam giving his top 10 TBS songs. A few songs from the new record are mentioned
I love that he chose "Miami", I love that song and most seem to hate it. Can't really back "Cut Me Up, Jenny" though - rarely listen to that one. "Didn't See That Coming", "Brooklyn" and "Sleep" are some of my favourite TBS songs.
This new album should be popping up soon i bet. I'm always excited to hear new TBS, but I also have been pretty disappointed with the last couple albums, overall. "Flicker Fade" is my favorite newer TBS song though. In fact it's probably in my top 10 favorite songs of theirs. I love that shit.
Wow Adam loves the b-sides like I do! I'm weird but I love a few songs from s/t the most. "Best Places to be a Mom," "Faith," and "It Doesn't Feel a Thing..." And I've been a critic of Eric Valentine in the past! I'm a hypocrite; those songs are awesome.
there are no bad songs on louder now. regardless, i would've liked "brooklyn" to replace "divine intervention"
"Brooklyn" is perhaps their catchiest song, period. It pops into my head literally once a month and it came out in like 2006.
Same. It's one of those songs I just start singing to myself in the shower or at work then I have to think for awhile what song it is.
It's the weaker New American Classic IMO. But I will say I have a soft spot for the acoustic version on the deluxe edition. It's from a radio session and Adam plays a harmonica and it sounds better than the original.
Louder Now > TAYF > S/T = Happiness Is = Where You Want To Be > New Again This entire discography is well-round and pretty good. Very interested to see where Tidal Wave falls. I'm very optimistic about it. In other news, does anyone know what Fred Mascherino is up to these days...?
Your ranking could not be much more different than mine, haha. This band truly is polarizing. Fred played a Color Fred show last week with Rare Futures (Matt Fazzi).
