Recently realized I like this album a lot and can't decide which to get.

just noticed this but "all excess" has a lot of "don't change" by inxs in its dna

 

"All Excess" is such a jam. Definitely one of my favorite TBS tracks.

 

Fred posted the first “In the Shed with Fred” episode on Youtube. It’s pretty interesting so far, and per usual, he’s still just as likeable as he’s always been.

 

I wonder if he still drives that car that runs on used cooking oil

 

He lives the next town over from my hometown. If I’m ever back that way and I see him, that’ll be my first question haha

 

The song he teases in this sounds really cool

 

he played an in-store on long island back in like 2008 and i saw that car in person and it was a highlight of the evening lol

Holy cow, it’s hard to believe that this September will be FOUR years since Tidal Wave was released. They’ve toured so much the last few years. Hoping there’s something new on the horizon.

Im so ready for a new album. Hopefully they've been working on one and we get a summer release from them.

 

AH YEAH AH YEAH ALRIGHT

 

All Excess is phenomenal. My favorite on that album for sure.

 

"You Can't Look Back" is still Very Not Good™.

Huhhh... You Can't Look Back is pretty solid. I enjoy the main riff, and that 2nd chorus is powerful. I could take or leave the second half of the song. I know that's a signature TBS thing, when the second half of the song is completely different, but that was one I really wished they would revisit the chorus on at the end.

 

they've been pretty uncharacteristically quiet, so i am curious as to what's going on in their camp

 

The lyrics are bad. The song goes on way too long, and it feels like that even before it gets to that second part, and it completely kills the flow of the album just as it's getting started.
