I mean, they announced he was taking a break. Would not be out of the ordinary for a band to publicly welcome someone back upon their return from a break.
Speaking of singles, they did a long intro to "The One" at my show as well and God the song would've been amazing if they put the extended version on the album. Why does everything have to fall under 3:30 lately? (TikTok, I know.)
100% should be in the setlist forever and would be a great single. also, I may be misremembering this but didn’t they say there was gonna be a 4 single/music video from this album? I feel like I read somewhere that they had their instruments set up on a boardwalk in Long Island for a video shoot. I’m assuming it would’ve been for Lightbringer or Keep Going.
I didn't hear about that, and I've read every interview about 152. Must've been from one of the VIP things or something. I remember the bridge though, so that was definitely "Keep Going."
Irrelevant to anything but when I think of the song title Keep Going, I remember this racing game with an announcer that would say that from time to time, except now I can't find it, so I'm worried I made it up.
From what I heard, they A. didnt like how the video came out shoot-wise and also B. got shut down by the town for not having the permits to film and close off a street or something so they could never actually finish it. Dont know how 100% airtight the permits story is but, i know they did post photos of a drumset set up on a street going towards the beach so, it sort of checks out lol
Saw them tonight in Dewey Beach and they were awesome. This was the 3rd or 4th night in a row so Adam seemed to be taking a lot of lines off, especially with the older songs. But John was actually crushing it tonight. Really “went for it” a lot more than he seems to in live vids/last time I saw them at Firefly. And he sounded prettg good most of the time doing it. And just looked like he was having fun. I wonder how much of that has to do with him saying he was loving Dewey Beach and joked about moving there. He seemed to really like the town’s vibe lol
They also played the Stranger in place of Quit Trying, which I think is the first time on this tour that they changed out one of the 152 songs?
Yeah I meant to say that, I had looked at the set list of the last few shows and was expecting Quit Trying but we got The Stranger in its place
Another thing I forgot to say, we did the VIP thing and it was cool. We didn’t chat for long with them because there was a lot of people signed up (the guy running it said it was the most VIP signups for a show on the tour so far), but got to meet them and shake hands and take a pic and I asked them if they knew the dude from Creeper did some mic swinging clearly inspired by Adam lol Also yeah Mark is still not there, but it also sounded like they had to replace their fill in for him a few nights ago by the way they introduced the guy playing last night?
funnily enough I was at the vip in Baltimore which the guy said was one of the smallest in tour and mentioned that the one in Dewey was the largest. He hasn’t returned
How long before the show did the VIP start? My ticket says 8 for the show but I haven't found good info on how early I should be for the VIP
it was check-in around 5:15-5:45 with the start time at 6 for me. Our doors were at 7 and Citizen started around 8. They were really chatty with us as a small group and after the deep dive on the song, answering questions, and photos, I think the VIP portion ended around 6:40-ish. I know I got like a text a day or two beforehand that had all the info on it. (I just checked and the url was done by date so this should be the one for tomorrow: https://omtvip.com/TBSVIP20813 )
ours was check in time between 6:15-6:45, experience started at 7, they did the Q&A which was only 4 questions (mine got answered!) and then pics, and then the regular doors opened at 8
