I like Divine Intervention but Your Own Disaster is legit a top 3 TBS song for me. Couldn't believe when they played it on their reunion tour and was lucky enough to see it live then.
According to a little birdie of mine, it was just a one-off thing (unless they add it back when Mark comes back...).
It's because they set such an insanely high bar with their first two acoustic songs. Divine Intervention is good, but doesn't even come close to disaster/new american classic.
Somebody asked if they would play it during their VIP experience! And since it was an acoustic song, they played it.
Worried about Mark tbh. He hasn’t posted on social media in months and they had quite a bit of time off prior to this tour starting so him not being ready to return for it is concerning. Obviously, he needs to take all the time he needs and I hope he’s OK but i don’t think he’ll be returning anytime soon.
I just looked at r/takingbacksunday and someone asked about it, and the band said he’s taking time off to deal with family stuff and that he’ll be back. I’m worried about him too though. Tough to imagine seeing a TBS show without him.
Alright, I don't wanna start any rumors or negative trends in here. He looked to be having a blast playing Coachella and seemed super interested in all the interviews around 152, so hopefully he can return sooner than later and everyone is happy and healthy!
They announced a Baltimore show today which is nice after the dc/baltimore area only getting a radio contest show and that festival this weekend.
Just revisited the Live at Bamboozle ‘09 album. Pitch correction aside, it holds up. They sound really tight and like they were having a blast. Wish I could’ve gone to that show.
