Man Balcony tickets at the Crystal were flying. I’m seeing quite a few people I never see talk about concerts posting about TBS announcing a tour. I think this tour is going to do really well.
I can't do that balcony at Crystal. I've went up there before at shows that didn't sell out, and it's not a great experience to me. Happy for those that want it, but i'll stick with the crowd at that venue. Love the balcony at Roseland though.
I totally get that. My old ass loves that they started selling balcony tickets. Standing for that long kills my back. It definitely depends on the show. The view is great, but the people up there can be very annoying. The crowd up there for Story of the Year was fantastic. A bunch of old people who were super into it. However when I was up there for TWY/Hot Mulligan it was full of drunk morons who talked over everything so I get not liking that atmosphere haha
I don't think this is going to be a full album play tour. In their promotion for the tour yesterday they said something like 'we'll be playing some new songs' and did not allude to playing it in full.
That would literally affect my ticket purchase decision. I do not care to hear most of their old singles with just a few new ones sprinkled in between. No thanks. I saw that TWICE in 2022 and don't care to hear it again. If it's not the entire new album (or at least 7-8 songs of the setlist) then I'll skip it. Completely bored with their current go-to setlists.
I wonder if they’ll wait til all these tickets sell before deciding what to do. When they did the Tidal Wave album tour, they purposely played a bunch of smaller venues knowing majority of their fan base wouldn’t want to see that. They probably lost out on that. Maybe their intent is to do the full album but won’t say so until the bigger venues sell out. We are likely in the minority of TBS fans who want to hear it in full. I know my sister and BIL are going to the CLE show with me and I’d be stunned if either of them even knew they had a new album out.
I mean they could always just play the full album within the set. It’s only ten songs and they can easily still play all the fan favorites in addition. I don’t see a need to advertise it beforehand.
I remember seeing TBS on their tour to promote Tidal Wave. I believe they played that album in full to start and then played the hits after. Also remember quite a few people at the show complaining at the start that they weren’t playing the hits. Casuals don’t really like that.
i went to a few of these shows. it happened in Long Island and i was shocked. they were pretty open that's what they were doing for the ENTIRE tour. also it's mad disrespectful to the band,
That's what I'm thinking. Playing it front to back probably wouldn't appeal to the majority of the people there, but they could easily weave like 7-8 songs in and play their standard set, if not the whole thing. Looks like they're playing Call Me In The Morning on the Aussie tour. Hope that stays in the US set!
If they play Amphetamine Smiles, S’Old, The One, Keep Going, Lightbringer, New Music Friday & The Stranger amongst a set of mostly hits and 1 or 2 rarities, that would rule. If they could never play “Just Us Two” again, that also would rule.
it looks like they didn’t play Just Us Two at the few headliners they did in Australia, and they did play half the new record. (That cover isn’t the full song and is more a bit they’ve been doing for a few years now) Taking Back Sunday Setlist at The Factory Theatre, Sydney
Swap out "The One" with "Quit Trying", and I'm there. I know they wouldn't cause it's a single, but I vastly prefer the latter.
That’s a decent set, about what I expected as far as 152 goes. Always good to see Set Phasers and My Blue Heaven in a setlist.
