It's literally the 152 album thread. Conversely the people bringing it up care more about getting a rise out of people at this point. Otherwise they would talk in the general TBS thread or have made a New Again thread where they could talk about the album in peace. I feel like if I loved an album I'd rather talk about it without people shitting on it? But nah trolling is more fun I suppose.
I agree but I think it's a problem with the music subforum itself. I brought this up in the blink album thread but I'm active on another forum in which each artist has general discussion threads (past eras) and album threads... and people manage to keep the right conversations on the right places. It makes following everything much easier, and you don't end up clicking on two different threads and seeing any crossover or the same conversation over and over again anyway. On here it always feels messy instead, idk
Golly, I didn’t mean my bratty hit-and-run posts to lead to yet another round of sincere discourse, lol. I take partial responsibility, but to be fair, there was discourse of other albums going on when I chimed in. For the record, with the caveat that it may be recency bias, I think 152 is sliding above New Again in my rankings. And, that makes me happy. I’m glad so many of us are loving this new album (because it’s quite good).
The worst thing about 152 is that I keep coming back to it instead of spending quality time with the new Gaslight, blink, and Menzingers records
That's so funny because i wasn't blown away on my first run through. but i'm with you, I'll start listening to another record, but stop after a few songs to come back to 152.
I hope the success of the song makes Adam consider using more quotes from Johnny Tsunami in future lyrics.
I definitely wasn’t crazy about it the first couple of times I heard it, but now I love it. The “go big or go home” line made me laugh the first time I heard it, but I respect that Adam went all in on it.
Lightbringer and New Music Friday finally clicked for me. I still think they’re the weak tracks on the album, but I found myself singing along without even noticing. The outro to New Music Friday is great.
Finally got around to listening to this. This is fantastic. Definitely hear some Tidal Wave-esque songs, but I love that record so I'm fine with it. This rules.
I didn't like any of the singles really but listening to the album as a whole it all really works. I would say of the October releases I listened to (blink, knuckle puck, menzingers, tbs, and gaslight) this album falls just behind Blink.
I think this album, and the Gaslight album blow Blink’s album out of the water. And I like the Blink album.
I’m not connecting with Gaslight yet, sadly. This always happens with them so I’m sure three or four months from now I’ll think it’s a masterpiece.
