Love this song. That like constant beat that they do a lot is back. TBS works best when they're packing punches with their guitar. I know Adam can't belt like before but I like that he went back to a little classic TBS stylin. Excited for this!
Really great song. First impression is it's one of their stronger singles probably one of the best since Louder Now era.
I was at a loss, call me conjecture You seemed happy enough to have me stay I am one of god’s great creatures Science never lies it only learns I could use a bit of both A little less your high hopes A little more your love Used to be I stood a head taller Long before your legs began to sway Beneath the weight I could use a bit of both A little less your case load A little more your love You’re going to get s’old You’re going to get so old You’re gonna get so old either way
video really unlocked the song for me could you imagine if they turned Nolan's vocals up a bit here....
Love both this music video and the last one, outside of the banter that in both cases feels unrehearsed and unnatural, lol. But, the band looks so dang sharp, especially Adam; his current look suits him well, imo.
Shawn; John; Adam - S'Old almost didn't make the record until they figured out that "synthie part" - words and melody were there; but producer helped reshape it and made it work. - With this album, they were able to rework the songs a lot instead of writing > recording Q&A: Inspirations behind the album? - Adam: long answer, but just about raising the bar and working at the top of our ability. - John: Mark didn't want any skippable tracks; nothing mediocre. Steve Aoki song was a big turning point in the process. How did you come up with the storyline in the video? - Adam sorta rehashing the 152 story from the press release; video concept was Adam "inviting people in and sharing this experience together" - The photos from the record/album art was all taken at that airbnb from The One video - John: The house show/filming of S'Old has been hosting a lot of Long Island shows - Shawn: Fun to see the scene still thriving in Long Island - Adam: A lot of early friends were at the show Who came up with the stage setup for Sad Summer? - Adam: I can't believe this worked...Hoping the 152 tour will expand Sad Summer tour concept - Shawn: loved it and wants more Shawn: excited for us to hear the whole album; lots still planned
The song is so good, they sound so reenegerized, I need this album and want them to play it front to back
so uh, what's with the Nathan dissing at the end of the video? I guess there's a part 3 and it's a more stripped down song?
I took it as like a joke to acknowledge that he wasn’t in The One video but was in this one on stage with them and the next one likely won’t be a live performance video
Song is great. A bit weirded out by the wobbly pitch correction and I wish John's vocals were higher in the mix but this has the energy I'd been craving from them. Excited to hear the rest.
Mark slays on the drums here. Video is rad. Super cool to see them focused and things seem plotted out pretty well for this release. Obviously this was a continuation of The One and hoping to see this go further as the end of this foreshadows another single/video.
this is the 2nd video where they've mentioned Montauk and I know for a fact they were out east on long island that way about a month or so ago, so, perhaps there is a part 3 coming with the final pre-release track and 3rd video in the red suits collection.
Yeah, and I'm sure you're right, but their banter is real bad in both videos. I hope they're just bad actors and don't really sound that way when they actually converse - or maybe that's why this album has taken 7 years.
Oh I think it’s pretty clearly a bad acting thing, lol. But, yeah, it’s the one thing about these videos that doesn’t land for me.
This song fucking rocks. I need to stop listening to these and the new menzingers singles before I ruin them
