You ever see the production deconstruction he did of Makedamnsure on his YT channel? Really fascinating stuff if you’re into production and have a lot of time to kill. Even when he was talking about his process for getting the drum sounds, I was like, “shit, in context, that drum sound actually makes sense”
Hot take: TBS didn't lean enough into the mainstream with this album. I still hear remnants of Tidal Wave. I'd like them to leave that sound behind them entirely.
Haha trust me, I hate it too. Fair enough! I think it might just be Adams vocal delivery reminding me of it
I am afraid this album is so good that it's going to make me dislike the last two albums in comparison lol it wouldn't go that far
I want to meet the creative director behind this album: "I want to put the four of you in the same weird-colored suit and have you gallivant around Montauk."
Amusing to me that I don’t care for the cover or title or suits and would prefer something else, but whatever the songs rule.
Wait, people don’t like Tidal Wave? I know its not perfect but there’s some great stuff on there and its one of their best sequenced albums imo btw I revisited this album twice today, it really is their best effort in a long time. Holy shit.
