There are a lot of ear worms in here

 

Really excited to listen to this today. I just have to say I cannot un-hear Messenger Bird's Song by Bright Eyes at the beginning of "The One". Well the kitchen is coooold, but the coffee is waaarm. It sounds the EXACT same lol

 

Just had my first listen. New Music Friday, Juice 2 Me and The Stranger really closed it out strong.
I Am the Only One Who Knows You, Quit Trying and Lightbringer are decent but didn’t grab me as immediately as the first 4 tracks did. I’m sure they’ll grow on me, though I do admit IATOOWKY is really pretty sonically.
This new direction/sound they’re going for really fits them at this stage in their lives/career, and its a much stronger album than I was expecting after such a long gap between albums.

Yeah this album is fantastic. Between this and TGA this is like a hall of fame release day, wow.

 

On my second listen now. Early standouts for me are I'm The Only One Who Knows You, Quit Trying and Juice 2 Me.
The One is far and away my least favorite thing on here. But can easily say this is miles better than their last 3 albums.

 

This album has definitely been a grower for me, but really liking it now. Quit Trying is great.

 

Listened to half this album going to work today and while I enjoyed what I heard, I do kind of wish there were a couple of more energetic songs to balance things out. It feels very "adult contemporary", if that makes sense.

 

This rules so far, I Am The Only One is my favorite track so far

 

Yep, this is the most replay worthy thing TBS has done in a long ass time for me.

 

Juice 2 Me is it, damn

 

Love Amphetamine Smiles as an opener.

 

Listening now and this is pretty different for them. Not sure how I feel about it.

 

Always going to be a TAYF mark, but easily their best album. Kind of blown away.

 

About halfway through. Really enjoying this so far, I almost sort of expected to not. I think I prefer it over Tidal Wave already.

 

This album is fantastic. It's really great to see all the love they're getting for it.

 

So many albums have come out in the past 3 weeks that I feel like I haven’t properly spent time with any of them.

 

Nice message but two things:

1) Is Nathan not involved at all in writing/recording?
2) I bet Adam is pissed at that 'true emo fan' comment lolz

 

only a few tracks in but i'm pleasantly surprised at how much i'm really enjoying the new album.

 

Nathan is credited on a few tracks for this (I think they said one of the parts for Quit Trying was from him and Mark just jamming around and they recorded it while on tour), but typically no.

 

this sounds really good. why is that?

 

i believe nathan is strictly a hired gun for the live shows

 

and i thought they were working some magic with Tom on the Blink album what the heck is going on here with Adam?

 

oh, haha. we talk on the phone sometimes and show each other songs / poetry we wrote. it’s not often you come across people with an artistic brain like his and it’s wonderful.
