for me personally i always do a top 10 favorite albums of that year (in no particular order)

haha, what? he just sent me his old band's screamo ep last week and was supposed to send me the unreleased record. what brought me to mind?

 

don’t forget The Bouncing Souls and The Gaslight Anthem, this year is absolutely incredible

 

Pretty flawless album. New Music Friday is probably my early favorite

They really had an album this good in them still? Awesome.

 

152 is a great album

 

Just when I think I’m out, they pull me back in. This is really good.

 

Excited for my first listen. Not sure if it was posted but the First Ever Podcast ep with @jeremyxbolm has Adam on from two weeks ago and it’s a really good listen.

 

Solid first listen

 

One listen in, this is easily the best album by a John & Shaun version of TBS. Looking forward to spending more time with this thing.

Juice 2 Me and The Stranger might be my favorites. They ended this thing strong

 

hm not sure about keep going. the nobody knows the trouble part kinda took me out of it

 

This thing is really, really, good.

 

this did not knock me out on first listen but it is good. I think they succeeded in doing something they clearly always needed and wanted to do, which is create a focused and glossy collection of big, rafter-reaching songs. I think "The Stranger" is really good, something about it feels a bit sharper than a lot of the other tracks here, which I sometimes feel get a little lost in the largesse.

 

Listening now. The fade out at the end of "Keep Going" is very abrupt.

Yea that’s my only criticism of the song. I wanted that outro to last another 15-30 seconds at least. It really felt like it was building to something.

 

man this was something else lol

Juice 2 Me might be my favorite of the songs we didn't hear early, but Amphetamine Smiles is far and away my favorite on here.

it's going to be really interesting to see how a lot of these songs translate live
