Is the acoustic outro of Juice 2 Me supposed to be reminiscent of the Amphetamine Smiles acoustic intro
They mentioned on the q&a live stream last night that it does loop pretty well due to the outro being similar to amphetamine smile’s intro so I do assume it was at least a little intentional
Album is really tight and solid. Quit Trying doesn't do a ton for me, but it's not bad. Only "complaint" is that TBS usually kills with a closer. Maybe it's as formulaic as their old back and forth vocals, but they did it well. Stranger didn't quite hit that bar for me.
Nice to see people are enjoying this. The production on this sounds great. I think S'old, Keep Going, and Quit Trying are the highlights for me, but as a full record I'm pretty underwhelmed after my first spin. I just feel like something is missing from a lot of these songs tbh, cant seem to put my finger on what exactly that is though.
Taking Back Sunday: "It doesn't matter where music comes from – you can’t mess with Harry Styles’ last album”
John clarified on Twitter the quote about Harry Styles came from Adam, and I’m not surprised. He was putting As It Was at the end of Decade last summer
Slowdance Call Me in the Morning I'll Let You Live Everything Must Go The Stranger Head Club I'll Find a Way Nothing at All
For some reason I always assumed this band took themselves super seriously so realizing that one of the track names was New Music Friday made me laugh more than it should have.
